After moving to the Sierra foothills, I found myself surrounded by nature, community, and purpose-driven organizations. Inspired by the ever-increasing environmental and health challenges facing our modern world, I launched Rooted Analytics to connect with teams driving change in these areas and to help harness the power of data for insight, impact, and action.
My mission is to empower impact-focused teams to make solid data-driven decisions.
I hold a PhD in Statistics from UC Berkeley, where I focused on data analysis for social good — studying topics including gender bias in teaching, election security, and econometrics. she applied her passion for data analysis a wide variety of social problems. Since then, I’ve worked as a data scientist in the tech industry on projects ranging from survey design and user research, experimental design and A/B testing, and data storytelling.
